I hope this finds you, your family, and colleagues healthy and safe. 

Many businesses and schools have closed, some industries are seeing hiring freezes, millions of people have lost their jobs, and the economy has seen the largest drop in history. Companies are struggling with the challenges of ensuring the health and safety of their employees, adapting to a work from home model, and responding to the shifting market needs. 

There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, and little clarity on when or how this crisis will be resolved. Now more than ever, we need to offer each other our support. 

Here’s how we’re addressing health, work, and business at Mya to ensure we continue operating at a high level to support our customers during these challenging times.

Keeping healthy and preventing the spread

Our #1 priority at Mya has been the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, clients, partners, and vendors. These are some of the things we have put into place:

  • We moved to a 100% work from home model on March 10.
  • We banned all travel weeks ago and are encouraging employees to shelter in place even in areas without official orders from state representatives yet. 
  • We are encouraging Mya employees to follow CDC guidelines.  
  • We have a business continuity plan in place, and we are keeping a close watch on updates and communicating them to the Mya team. 

Adapting to the needs of our customers

Our Customer Success and Implementation teams are working closely with all of our customers to make sure they are okay and we are prepared to address any urgent needs or special requests due to the current climate. We have already reached out to every one of our contacts to make sure they are okay. You can expect us to check in frequently and do whatever we can to support you and your team. 

Supporting critical infrastructure hiring

The Mya team is working diligently to help essential businesses scale to meet the urgent, high volume needs in response to this global crisis. We have taken steps to expedite deployments for new and existing customers and are committed to show a great deal of flexibility to meet the growing needs of our customers in healthcare, light industrial, logistics, and essential retail that are working tirelessly to keep us all supplied, healthy, and safe. 

Looking ahead

Our mission is to create a far more efficient and equitable job market powered by AI. Now more than ever, our team feels an elevated sense of purpose to deliver on that promise. This past week alone, Mya engaged hundreds of thousands of candidates to help them find new opportunities, including over 100,000 candidate conversations in a 24 hour period. It’s a great feeling to know that we can play a big role in addressing the urgent needs of our customers, but more importantly, help the candidates who have been impacted by this crisis find meaningful work.

With the recent closure of our Series C, Mya will continue to invest heavily in the ongoing support of our customers and in the expansion of our technology and platform. We look forward to working alongside our customers to overcome the challenges presented by this global event, support the rapidly evolving market needs, and prepare for the opportunities that lie ahead.

I know navigating this crisis is challenging for everyone and it will likely get harder before it gets easier. On behalf of the Mya team, we want to offer our support and thank you for partnering with us on our journey towards creating a more efficient and equitable world of work for all.
